For spring and summer 2014 the runways from New York to Paris and Milan saw the typical distribution of gray menswear pieces, and more specifically two-piece gray suits. A few designers that are showcasing the gray-on-gray trend in styles other than the classic two button suit are Bottega Veneta, Brioni, Christopher Kane, Hermes, and Maison Martin Margiela. Looks ranged from Bottega Veneta pairing dark heather charcoal paints with color blocked gray and green sweaters and geometric gray button downs to more contemporary designers such as Christopher Kane who put together gray pants with gray Macintosh raincoats. Other designers such as Hermes layered different shades of gray on top and accented with gray accessories such as sandals.
